HEIMTSA

HEIMTSA (Health and Environment Integrated Methodology and Toolbox for Scenario Assessment) has brought together an international team of scientists in the areas of epidemiology, environmental science and biosciences, to collaborate on developing and applying new, integrated approaches to the assessment of environmental health risks and consequences, in support of European policy in transport, energy, agriculture, industry, household and waste treatment and disposal.

On 26 and 27 March 2009, the NoMiracle 5th public workshop Cumulative Risk Assessment: a Challenge for Science and Management will be held in the Study Centre Soeterbeeck, Ravenstein, the Netherlands.



Dear HEIMTSA Colleagues,
 
On 26 and 27 March 2009, the NoMiracle 5th public workshop Cumulative Risk Assessment: a Challenge for Science and Management will be held in the Study Centre Soeterbeeck, Ravenstein, the Netherlands.

We would like to urge you to join us. Through lectures and interactive discussion we will explore the following topics:
1.     Regulatory state of the art : Why is cumulative risk assessment required and what are the priorities/needs from a regulatory perspective?
2.     Scientific state of the art : what are the advances in assessment of cumulative exposure, effects and risks?
3.    What are key needs (research, legislation/regulation, institutional) for cumulative risk assessment?
