HEIMTSA

HEIMTSA (Health and Environment Integrated Methodology and Toolbox for Scenario Assessment) has brought together an international team of scientists in the areas of epidemiology, environmental science and biosciences, to collaborate on developing and applying new, integrated approaches to the assessment of environmental health risks and consequences, in support of European policy in transport, energy, agriculture, industry, household and waste treatment and disposal.

2nd International Conference on Risk Assessment + Pre-conference event

The 2nd International Conference on Risk Assessment "Global Risk Assessment Dialogue" is organised by the Directorate-General for Health and Consumers of the European Commission. It will be held at Brussels, Belgium, 26-28 January 2011.
The registration deadline is 12 December 2010.

The conference will be preceded by an Introductory Workshop on Integrated Environmental Health Impact Assessment (IEHIA) on 25 January, organised by the EU FP6 projects INTARESE, HEIMTSA and 2-FUN.

The Conference aims at providing a Forum for global dialogue on risk assessment principles, methods, criteria, practices and arrangements in the various jurisdictions around the world. It is related to and builds upon the Transatlantic Risk Assessment Dialogue of the European Commission with the US and Canada. It is the second of regular, international bi-annual conferences on risk assessment.
