The 5th Ministerial Conference on Environment and Health has taken place 10-12 March 2010 in Parma, Italy. Being organised by WHO/Europe and hosted by Italy, it was the latest milestone in the European environment and health process, now in its twentieth year. With a focus on the protection of children's health in a changing environment, the Conference adopted the 'Parma Declaration on Environment and Health'; it solidifies the commitment to act on key H&E challenges such as climate change, children’s health, social inequalities, burden of diseases, and persistent chemicals/nanoparticles.
