Categories: | Author: Sonja Grossberndt | Posted: 30/10/2009 | Views: 901

The 10th Urban Environment Symposium will be held in Gothenburg, Sweden on June 9-11 2010. This symposium will provide a forum for recent R&D within a wide range of topics related to urban environment.

The deadline for submitting abstracts for oral or poster presentations is 30. November 2009.

Detailed information can be found at the conference website For additional information, please contact Maria Svane (secretariat@hues.se).

The first symposium was held in London in 1983 as a meeting place for researchers with a focus on urban pollution. Since then, there has been a growing interest for including other aspects of the urban environment to provide a more extensive cover of this research area. Topics at recent symposia in Nicosia in 2006 and Madrid in 2008 included air quality, urban water, climate change, contaminated sites, transportation and mobility. The upcoming 10th Urban Environment Symposium will provide a forum for recent research and development within a broad range of topics related to the urban environment.

Abstract submissions for oral or poster presentations are welcomed on any of the following topics:

Air and noise pollution

Contaminated soils and waters

Transport and mobility

Greenhouse gases and climate change

Resources and urban ecology

Land use and spatial planning

Authors wishing to present papers are invited to submit an abstract by November 30, 2009. Please note that abstracts must be short (less than 300 words, no figures) and should be submitted via the conference website ( http://www.hues.se <http://www.hues.se/> ). The official language is English.
