HEIMTSA

HEIMTSA (Health and Environment Integrated Methodology and Toolbox for Scenario Assessment) brings together an international team of scientists in the areas of epidemiology, environmental science and biosciences, to collaborate on developing and applying new, integrated approaches to the assessment of environmental health risks and consequences, in support of European policy in transport, energy, agriculture, industry, household and waste treatment and disposal.

Managing the health effects of climate change
Climate change is the biggest global health threat of the 21st century. An article recently published in Lancet puts emphasis on the necessity of an intersectoral and interdisciplinary response towards the health effects caused by climate change.

TRISK open for application
The TRISK - European Toxicology Risk Assessment Training Programme is now open for application. The objective of the training programme is to provide a comprehensive training in toxicological risk assessment that serves as a model for future European training in risk assessment for accredited European risk assessors.
The training programme includes eight 1-week-long course modules, an applied training at an institution performing risk assessments and a final examination and lasts throughout 2010 and 2011.

EPHmodern - Italia 2010 pre-announcement

The main aim of the annual meeting is to create a 'continous EU exchange platform' among scientific and preventive fields including both professional groups and public service within the EU and Region (EUR).

Fifth Ministerial Conference on Environment and Health, 10.-12.03.2010 in Parma, Italy
'Protecting children's health in a changing environment' - with this focus the Fifth Ministerial Conference on Environment and Health will be held from 10.-12.03.2010 in Parma, Italy.  The aim is to drive Europe's agenda on emerging environmental health challenges for the upcoming years as the next milestone in the European environment and health process.

Conference on the contribution of social sciences to the governance of risks in environmental health
