HEIMTSA

HEIMTSA (Health and Environment Integrated Methodology and Toolbox for Scenario Assessment) brings together an international team of scientists in the areas of epidemiology, environmental science and biosciences, to collaborate on developing and applying new, integrated approaches to the assessment of environmental health risks and consequences, in support of European policy in transport, energy, agriculture, industry, household and waste treatment and disposal.

Course in Philosophy of Risk in Health Risk Assessment

From 12-16 October 2009 the Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden will arrange a course in philosophy of risk in health risk assessment. The objective of the course is to provide an overview of important aspects of interactions between science and policy in health risk assessment with a focus on strategies to handle scientific uncertainty. Invitation to the 2nd workshop on Particulate Matter: Research and Management, to be held at Mokra Gora, Serbia, 29.08.-02.09.2009.

The workshop aims at bringing forward knowledge about particulate matter in the West Balkan and Mediterranean area, and at promoting dialogue between scientists and air quality managers.

This is the first call for contributions, oral or poster, to be published in a conference book of abstracts, with a possibility to publish as an article in Chemical Industry and Chemical Engineering Quarterly. First abstract deadline is 10.7.2009.
