HEIMTSA

HEIMTSA (Health and Environment Integrated Methodology and Toolbox for Scenario Assessment) has brought together an international team of scientists in the areas of epidemiology, environmental science and biosciences, to collaborate on developing and applying new, integrated approaches to the assessment of environmental health risks and consequences, in support of European policy in transport, energy, agriculture, industry, household and waste treatment and disposal.

Urban Environmental Pollution - UEP2010
The international conference 'Urban Environmental Pollution - Overcoming Obstacles to Sustainability and Quality of Life' will take place from 20-23 June 2010 in Boston, MA, USA. The event will bring together experts from all over the world to exchange knowledge on environmental innovation to create sustainable urban areas.

The abstract submission deadline is February 1, 2010.

HiWATE Conference 22 - 24 February 2010, London, UK
HiWATE - Health Impacts of Long-Term Exposure to Disinfection By-Products in Drinking Water is holding its annual conference and an open day from 22-24 February 2010 in London.

The HiWATE Open Day aims to give an overview of the current state of disinfection by-product research and the main findings of the EU-funded HiWATE project.

8th International Symposiumon Advanced Environmental Monitoring
The 8th International Symposiumon Advanced Environmental Monitoring will be held 29 June - 01 July 2010 at Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan. The event will be organised by the Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (GIST) and the Advanced Environmental Monitoring Research Center (ADEMRC). The conference will provide an opportunity for multidisciplinary expert teams to share knowledge, present research results and work together developing new avenues for science in technology in the field of environmental health monitoring.

Winter school on Uncertainties

The four projects HEIMTSA, INTARESE; 2-FUN and NoMiracle are organising a hands-on training course on integrating uncertainty within environmental health impact assessment in order to promote the use of the harmonised methodology. The course will take place on 20-22 January 2010 at the Firbush Field Centre, University of Edinburgh, on Loch Tay, just before the third HEIMTSA annual meeting.
