In May 2009, the project Risk ASSETs was launched. The 'Risk Assessment and Management - European Training Programme' aims to address the need for improved risk assessment training throughout the EU. The focus is on the areas of toxicology, exposure assessment to chemicals, environmental and bio-monitoring,
epidemiology, substances in consumer products and electromagnetic
fields.

The ICCA-LRI & JRC Workshop 2010 'Integrating new Advances in Exposure Science and Toxicity Testing: Next Steps' is going to take place 16-17 June 2010 in Stresa, Italy.

The 5th Ministerial Conference on Environment and Health has taken place 10-12 March 2010 in Parma, Italy. Being organised by
WHO/Europe and hosted by Italy, it was the latest milestone in the
European environment and health process, now in its twentieth year.
With a focus on the protection of children's health in a changing environment, the
Conference adopted the 'Parma Declaration on Environment and Health'; it solidifies the commitment to act on key H&E challenges such as climate change, children’s health, social inequalities, burden of diseases, and persistent chemicals/nanoparticles.
